During the day, its temperature can reach 800 degrees Fahrenheit (430 degrees Celsius), and during the night, its temperature can drop to -280 degrees Fahrenheit (-170 degrees Celsius). This is a drop of about 1,080 degrees Fahrenheit (600 degrees Celsius).
The temperature on the planet may reach 840 degrees F (450 degrees C) during the day. But at night, the temperature may drop as low as -275 degrees F (-170 degrees C). It has the greatest temperature range of any planet or natural sattelite in the solar system.
Precipitation does not directly affect the temperature. However, because there are often clouds that come with precipitation, this indirectly causes a drop in temperature.

There is no average temperature for mountains; there is however a pretty good guideline which you can use to determine temperature at altitude. If the air is dry is about its 10 degree centigrade drop in temperature per 1000m of altitude and about 5 degrees centigrade drop per 1000 m if the air is saturated (contains a lot of moisture)
