The Bible tells us that sin is sin - no degrees as some teach. It is called 'lawlessness' by John. The Apostle James was inspired to tell us breaking one aspect of God's Law is breaking the whole law:

If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

The exact words "remission of sin" are not in the King James Version of the Bible. The words "remission of sins" (with an S) are in the King James Version of the Bible 7 times. They are in 7 verses.
