There are many animals who only live on the island of Madagascar. One of the better known animals is the lemur. This is a type of primate with a long tail. It looks a bit like a monkey. There is also a cat-like animal known as the fossa, which is a carnivore.

There are quite possibly more species of animal in Madagascar than on many of the continents. There are hundreds of species of bats, monkeys, lemurs and many other small animals.
Thousands. Madagascar has hundreds of species of lemur alone.
Lemurs are native to only one place in the world, that is Madagascar. There are many species found only there.
There are many different animals that live in caves. Bats for example are a famous animal that lives in a cave.
500000
Madagascar has an unusual mix of wildlife. For example, the island does not have apes, monkeys, elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, hyenas, rhinos, antelopes, buffalo, or camels that you might expect to find in Africa, but it does have lemurs, tenrecs, boa constrictors, iguanas, and other creatures. So it isn't very clear how much animal live in Madagascar ;-)
