The exact words "remission of sin" are not in the King James Version of the Bible. The words "remission of sins" (with an S) are in the King James Version of the Bible 7 times. They are in 7 verses.
Romans 6: 23 says "the wages of sin is death". Depending on what version of the Bible you will be using; the word "consequence" can be replaced by many different words. But they all come to one: RESULTS and DEATH!
