TWO(2)
Carbonate is an ANION of the formula ' CO3^(2-) '.
It does NOT exists in the 'free' state, but in combined form , as Calcium Carbonate, or Sodium Carbonate etc.,
The carbonate anion contains two elements viz., Carbon(C) and Oxygen(O) .
They are arranged as ; -
1 atom of carbon
3 atoms of oxygen
With an ionic charge of ' -2 ' .
In 5A
Carbonate is CO32- . It consists of carbon and Oxygen
magnesiumcarbonoxygen
Calcium carbonate is made of the elements calcium, carbon, and oxygen.
Sodium carbonate contains the elements sodium, carbon, and oxygen. Its chemical formula is Na2CO3.
Calcium, Carbon, Oxygen
Calcium carbonate is the compound made from the elements oxygen, calcium, and carbon. It is commonly found in rocks, shells, and pearls.
Lead carbonate is PbCO3. there are three elements, lead, Pb; carbon , C; oxygen, O.
Ammonium carbonate is (NH4)2CO3. From this formula you can see that it contains 4 elements: nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon, and oxygen.
Cobalt carbonate contain carbon, oxygen and cobalt.
ZnCO3 Zinc,Carbon and Oxygen
Calcium, oxygen, and carbon are common elements found in carbonate minerals. Other elements such as magnesium, iron, and manganese can also be present depending on the specific mineral. These elements combine with carbonate ions to form minerals such as calcite (calcium carbonate) and dolomite (calcium magnesium carbonate).
