Are we talking nanometres? 1 nanometre is one BILLIONTH of a metre. Engineers choose a scale of measure that is proportionate to what they are measuring. Nanometres on a subatomic scale, light years on a cosmic scale. Certainly you can convert one to the other but it is of little use.

To convert nm to feet.

Feet to metre multiply by 0.3048. A nanometre is one billionth of that.

One billion in numbers is 1,000,000,000.
