it depends on wat ak 47 you have but most of them are like 250-350fps (feet per second)

^That information is incorrect, most AK series AEG's have "V3" gearboxes, which are very durable and usually have over 360 feet per second. Every AK is different though, but from experience with most companies AK's being an Airsoft tech of 6 years and Russian enthusiast, Most CYMA AK-47's shoot between 375-420 fps, most DBoy's shoot around 400, most G&G shoot around 350, and I am unfamiliar with other brands. Read up on airsoft knowledge, as this question was rather nooby. But, we all gotta start somewhere!

As for feet that depends on so many variables I will not go into it now, but I will list a few.

Hop up- Puts backspin on the BB, allows it to glide through air unlike paintballs.

Barrel length- A "runway" for the BB that helps it develop a straighter path.

The bore of the barrel- An upgraded 6.03 is most desirable for AEGs for tight groupings.

And fps/bb weight. A heavier BB being used with a higher fps will give the bb more inertia, and let it travel further.

A quality AK ($100 or above) can shoot anywhere (stock, no upgrades) between 100 and 200 feet.
