By blessing the loaves and giving thanks to the father.

It was a miracle. The food just kept multiplying as it was distributed. It cannot be explained physically.(John 6:10-13)(Luke 9:12-17)(Mark 6:35-44)(Matthew 14:14-21). This miracle was performed more than once, not only to feed those desiring to learn what Jesus taught, but also to build the faith of Jesus' apostles (Matthew 16:5-12) that God is capable of caring for their needs. This type of miracle had been performed many many years before, when God, through Elijah, miraculously fed a widow and her son during a drought(1 Kings 17:8-16). These were miracles from God, as sure as the feeding of Israel in the wilderness (Exodus 15:15) and the pouring out of holy spirit at Pentecost(Acts 2:1-4).

Answer: Here Jesus taking about himself (Jesus as sole and body John Baptist ) feeding one person loaf of brad and two fish is enough. 5000 represent our five seances ( written as 5000 so people can have desire to find truth of bible he can find out.) Therefore they said bible is for you.

Another answer:

This is an illustration of the "natural lack of God's Faith, Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding" that's missing in mortal, carnal minded man whose life is normally guided by his reaction to the stimuli of his five physical senses.

The "WORD of God"... which is both Jesus Christ [John 1:1] as well as His Living Written Word, The Bible, is God's Bread from heaven: "...'People need more than bread for their life; they must FEED ON EVERY WORD OF GOD.'" (Matt.4:4 NLT New Living Translation)

Man is preoccupied with the sating of his five physical senses [in the case of this illustration; the creature comfort of a full belly, which often, when sated, can bring discomfort and even pain], and neglects the part of him that's, in the end, most important -- the "spirit that God forms within him":

"...'This message is from the LORD, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and FORMED THE SPIRIT WITHIN HUMANS." (Zech.12:1 NLT)

Speaking to the converted Ephesian Gentile church, Paul tells them:

"...there must be a SPIRITUAL RENEWAL OF YOUR THOUGHTS AND ATTITUDES. You must display a New Nature [God's Nature] because you are a New Person, created in God's likeness - Righteous, Holy, and True." (Eph.4:23 NLT)

Same verse; KJV: "...be renewed in THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND; and that ye may put on the New Man, which after God is created in Righteousness, True Holiness."

It's this "spirit" within man that Jesus came to "awaken" [and feed and nourish] in those whom His Father has given to Him, to train up in the ways of God for their future jobs, positions and offices [mansions] in the Kingdom of God, when it takes over the world to teach the nations God's Truth at the Last Great Day of God's plan.

Even Jesus' disciples were "spiritually" blinded to this Truth at the time of the "feeding of the 5000" [and at other times]. But the world is STILL blinded to it, as it STILL marvels at the idea of feeding so many people from so little... or it simply balks in disbelief at the "carnal thought" of it.

"ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM; and without Him was not any thing made that was made... He was in the world, and THE WORLD WAS MADE BY HIM, and the world knew Him not." (John 1:3 & 10 KJV)

Of course, the natural, carnal mind of man marvels and/or balks at the miracles of Jesus Christ [and the other so-called miracles in the Bible]... but for the One who MADE THE UNIVERSE by the POWER OF HIS WORD... how Truly hard was it for Him to feed a hillside full of people from a couple baskets of victuals?

Jesus sloughed off the physical manifestation of that "bread" [meal] on the hillside to illustrate the REAL "Spiritual Bread" of God's WORD: Himself and the Living Scriptures, that the world just wasn't getting.

"...'The Truth is, you want to be with Me because I fed you, not because YOU SAW THE MIRACULOUS SIGN. But you shouldn't be concerned about perishable things like food. SPEND YOUR ENERGY SEEKING THE ETERNAL LIFE that I, the Son of Man, CAN GIVE YOU. For God the Father HAS SENT ME for that very purpose.'" (John 6:26-27 NLT)

How did Jesus feed 5000 people with a loaf of bread and two fish? Jesus' answer is: Stop dwelling on the shallow faithlessness of the natural carnal mind; humble your heart and open your mind and spirit to the Truth of God... and simply turn to Him [repent] and BELIEVE THE BREAD that His Word is feeding you!

"...I AM the Bread of Life. No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry again. Those who BELIEVE in Me will never thirst." (verse 35)

"It is the [Holy] Spirit that gives Eternal Life. Human effort accompishes nothing. And THE VERY WORDS I HAVE SPOKEN to you ARE SPIRIT AND LIFE." (verse 63)

"...some of you don't believe Me. (For Jesus knew from the beginning who didn't believe, and He knew who would betray Him.) Then He said, 'That is what I meant when I said that people can't come to Me unless the Father brings them to Me.'" (verses 64-65)

Jesus Christ is the True Bread of God man should be wondering about, believing in... and seeking to feed them.

"I Live by the Power of the Living Father who sent Me; in the same way, those who partake of ME will Live because of Me. I AM the True Bread from heaven. Anyone who eats this Bread will Live Forever and not die as your ancestors did, even though they ate the manna." (verse 57-58)

Jesus fed the 5000 people with a loaf of bread and two fish [no big deal for the Creator of the universe]... TO GET THEIR ATTENTION, to teach them [and you and I from His Written Word, the Bible] about the "spiritual aspect of Life" that mankind needs to be learning if he is going to graduate to the next phase of "Eternal Life." Some He's calling now... the vast majority will be called later.

5000 people

Actually, it was 5000 men plus women and children. I think it is save to say it was at least 8,000-10,000. The Gospels don't give an exact number.
