How many fossils are left in the world?

No one knows the exact number, but there are a lot. There are probably not too many full skeletons of Tyrannosaurus Rex, but there are many millions of fossil shells, worms, fish, corals, sponges and other very common animals. There are some places people have never looked for fossils yet because they are hard to get to, like under the ice in mainland Antarctica (people have looked for fossils on the some of the coast and island of Antarctica.)

If someone wants to work as a fossil hunted they will very definitely have a job far into the future.
