The 2003 Land-Rover Range-Rover runs on premium unleaded (required).
A Land Rover Freelander sometimes misfires. It is a sharp jerk as the engine seems to lose power for split second and then continues to run normally again. There are no warning lights or any detectable after effects. This is caused by blocking of the filter or dirt in the fuel.
The company Land Rover manufactures the Freelander TD4 vehicle. This vehicle inclues a stop-start feature that helps improve the fuel economy as well as reduce the amount of carbon emission.
Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.
It has one.
ONE.
From 2003 to 2006 they stop putting cabin filters and fuel filters.
1- ( and there is a filter " sock " on the electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank )
One in the fuel tank (pickup screen), one in the fuel line and one in each fuel injector.
One from the factory.
Clogged fuel filters result in poor throttle response and lack of power. Filters should be ideally changed before that happens. The 2002 Trailblazer owner manual says fuel filter should be changed at 100k miles. I expect the 2003 manual makes some comment. I have a 2002 and just changed filters.
prior to and including 2003 models the fuel filter is located along the inside of the driver's side frame rail. after 2003 the filters are part of the fuel pump and are located in the fuel tank.
