1989 ford F250 Fuel Problems, It cranks but wont start
If your f250 is fuel injected. It has three fuel pumps. One in each tank and one inside the frame rail under the drivers door.
In 1983 Ford went from mechanical fuel pumps, on the side of the block, to electronic pumps and put them in the gas tank. If you have two tanks, each one has a fuel pump in it. I have found it easier to take the bed off, that drop the tank. I was working in my drive way with no lift however.
if it has duel tankes the splitter valve in the fuel system could be bad or it could be the crash switch that could be clicked its in the passenger kick pannel or if that dont solve it id say its one of the two fuel pumps
In the fuel tank.
All fuel pumps for this make ad model of vehicle are located inside the fuel tank(s). If you have one tank...you have have one pump. If you have a vehicle with two fuel tanks...then you have two. There are no external fuel pumps on this vehicle.
it is in the fuel tank
The fuel pump on a 1979 Ford F250 is located on the side of the engine. It uses a mechanical rod to operate the pump directly from the vehicle's cam shaft.
