The density of cooking oil varies by type but is about 0.92 kilograms per liter. If you calculate the reciprocal of that, you get 1.08696 liters per kilogram. You can now easily use Google to convert that to gallons per tonne (metric ton). Just type 1.08696 liters per kilogram in gallons per tonne in the Google search box. You should get 287.14 US gallons per tonne.
You can use Google to do the math and the conversion for you. Just type (1 metric ton) / (920 kg/m^3) in gallons in the search bar.
Canola oil has a specific gravity of about 0.92. I'm not going to go through all the math for you (you can do your own homework), I'm just citing the number so you realize I have some idea what I'm talking about, unlike the previous idiot who put down a number that was clearly ludicrous to anyone with a clue.
A metric ton of canola oil is therefore a bit more than a cubic meter. Converting to gallons, I come up with about 288 gallons (US gallons; if you want Imperial gallons you'll have to do the conversion yourself).
i forgot the qustion
A litre is a measure of volume whereas a tonne is a measure of weight.
volume and weight are related by density:
density = weight ÷ volume
⇒ volume = weight ÷ density.
Thus the volume in litres of 1 tonne will depend upon the density of the substance;
1 tonne of hydrogen at a density of about 0.0899 kg/m3 would occupy a little under 111/8 million litres; whereas
1 tonne of Mercury at a density of about 13534 kg/m3 would occupy a little under 74 litres.
sunflower oil density is approximately 0.919 g/ml
1 metric ton is 1.08814 cubic meters or 1088.14 liters
1 gallon US is 3.782 liters
1088.14 liters = ~ 287.73 US gallons
One metric ton of peanut oil would equal to 289 gallons. A single cup of peanut oil contains 1,909 calories. One gallon of peanut oil has 30,551 calories.
290 gallons of Olive oil per metric ton. I sell bulk olive oil in a flexi tank all over the world. 18 -20 MT per flexi tank
The volume is the ratio between the mass and the density; you need the density of the specific vegetable oil to calculate the exact volume.
That is approximately 640 US gallons.
Approx 238 Imperial gallons.
One US gallon of soybean oil weighs 7.6776 pounds. A metric ton is equal to 2,204 pounds. Using these figures, 750 metric tons of soybean oil contains just over 215,301.66 gallons.
The density of no 2 oil is given as 0.72 kg/liter (Wikipedia), therefore 1 metric ton of 1000 kilograms will contain 1389 liters = 365.5 US gallons
A metric ton is 1000kg, so that is the weight of oil in a metric ton, = 2204.7 lb. The density of crude oil varies but taking it as 0.75 kg/liter, 1000 kg = 1333 liters. There are 160 liters in a barrel, so 1333 liters = 8.33 barrels.
(Tonnes / specific gravity) * 264.17 = gallons (US) (Tonnes / specific gravity ) * 219.97 = gallons (impereal) Example: 1 Tonne fuel oil , specific gravity 0.89 , US gallons ? (1 / 0.89) * 264.17 = 296.82 US gallons (approx)
That depends how heavy the heavy fuel is. A gallon is a unit of capacity. A metric ton is a unit of mass. The two units are therefore incompatible.

A barrel of crude oil contains 42 US gallons and each gallon of crude oil weighs about 7 pounds. Two million barrels contains 84 million US gallons of crude oil weighing about 588,000,000 pounds. One metric ton is equal to 2,240 pounds, so:588,000,000 pounds / 2,240 = about 262,500 metric tons in 2 million barrels
