There are right at about 2 1/2 cups of uncooked rice in a one pound bag. Perhaps a teaspoon more, but the difference isn't worth mentioning for kitchen work. And don't go asking if that's long grain, short grain, wild, brown, Arborio or anything else. Two and one half cups per pound of uncooked rice…. Take it to the kitchen and it will work out every time.. Bon Appétit! ( Full Answer )
According to Producer's Rice Mills, there are over 29,000 grains ina pound of long grain white rice. You'd have slightly fewer for long grain brown, as each grainretains its bran layer. Short grain rice is 3-4 times shorter, soyou'd have 3-4 times as many in a pound.
I'm addicted to Freerice.com and just had to know the answer to this. I measured out Uncle Ben's brown rice grains on a gram scale and repeatedly got 50-60 grains of rice per gram. On the package, 47g is 1/4 cup, so there are 188g of Uncle Ben's in a cup. Multiply 188g times 55 grains and you get 10…,340 grains in a cup. I've seen estimates of 1000 grains in a cup elsewhere on the internet, so I suppose it depends on the type of rice we're talking about. Thats probably right that might be why on freerice.com every thousand you get a pic of what you've donated goes to its own group on the left side. I love freerice.com!!!!! newtest3 ( Full Answer )
The mass for one grain of rice can vary based on the type of rice. The average mass for a grain of white long-grain rice is 25mg.
Answer . A good measure is half a cup of uncooked rice per person. Based on the US Rice Federation's estimate, there are about 7 oz to a half cup of rice, making the number of serving per pound of rice = 2 and a quarter.. 1 LB dry rice makes 1 pint (2 cups) cooked rice.
Answer: Approximately 7,200 grains of rice are in a cup. Explanation: A grain of rice weighs between 20 and 30 mg. A cup of rice weighs about 7 oz or about 217724mg.
Answer Yes, the grain pretty much is the seed. When you buy it, the grainis all dried up, so all you can do is cook it. Actually the endosperm is protected in the outer shell or seedcoatof rice. But if the seedcoat is removed, the endosperm becomeinactive. So we can't grow paddy from rice grain that …we buy fromshops. ( Full Answer )

As a math project at Woods Lake Elementary we counted groups of 1000 grains of white rice. Then we filled a 1/4 cup (one serving of rice) with 3, 750 grains of rice. We also found out that at $2 for a 2lb bag, one grain of rice cost $0.000027. So when you answer one question right at FreeRice.com …you donate $0.0027 in rice. According to Producers Rice Mill, Inc. of Stuttgart, Arkansas, USA , there are over 29,000 grains of rice in one pound (based on long grain white rice). Brown rice (which is unhulled and has a larger diameter) should be somewhat less.
There is no simple answer since different varieties of rice have grains of different size.
That depends on how big the bag is, as well as how full it is andhow large each grain of rice is. However, most people don't spendall their time counting how many grains of rice are in each bag, soit will be hard to find out.
Grains of rice weigh from 20 to 40 milligrams, average 30. Therefore (1 kg = 1,000 g) ÷ (30 mg = 0.030 g) = 33,000 grains.

Different styles of rice weigh slightly different amounts. We measured white long grain rice, and 1 gram of this rice was approximately 49 grains.
1,305,000 grains per bushel Figure comes from 45 pounds of rice per bushel: 29,000 grains of rice per pound This only works with long grain rice
about 3,750 are in 1/4 cup and that is a single serving. so depending on how many cups you make you just have to multiply.
approximately 15,000 grains of rice are there in one cup of rice. >. >. >. >. >The '~15K' answer, above, reminds me strongly of a quote I use frequently;. '71.3% of the people who quote statistics make them up on the spot'. There are approximately 750-900 grains of rice in one tablespoon, depending on the size of the rice and exact tablespoon measurements.
Approximately 7,200 grains of rice per cup when assuming that the average weight of a cup of rice is about 7 oz or 217724 mg and a grain of rice is between 20~24 mg.
a lot. About 7,200 grains are in a cup so it depends on how much rice you want. If you want a cup of rice, there would be about 7,000 grains for one plate of rice.
One grain of rice is called a grain of rice. The plural form is grains of rice.
There is no such thing as an 'average' bag of rice. In my local groceries it comes in bags of 8 oz, 12 oz, 1 pound, 2 pound, 5 pound, 9 pound, and 11 pound. Who decides what is 'average'
About 21-23 cups of rice equal a 10 lb bag of rice depending on long or short grain.
A single grain of rice weighs about 0.028 grams. This means that ina 500g bag of rice there would be approximately 17,857 grains ofrice.
368.9 tonnes Multiple the number of grains of rice by the individual weight, then divide by 1000 to get the amount in grams, then another 1000 to get in kilograms, and another 1000 to get into tonnes.
A very rough approximation would be in the order of 10 23 atoms, ie a 1 followed by 23 zeros, which is a very big number. Given that there are over 10^21 atoms in a large grain of sand, weighing 0.03g there will be a lot more (maybe x10 or x100) in a grain of rice (which is much larger than a gr…ain of sand). Note that rice is organic so will have a lot of hydrogen atoms as well as carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, and many others in lesser degree. The previously stated answer of "30,000 atoms in one grain of rice" is absurd. Either the poster is testing how long it takes for an incorrect answer to be fixed or is quite ignorant of atomic dimensions (or both!). ( Full Answer )

1.1368804gcm -1 when one grain equals 25mg. otherwise it's the mass of the grain divided by the volume of the grain. mass/volume=density
This entirely depends on the type of rice. If you didn't know there are different types of rice with different sizes and volumes. A strategy for figuring this out is to count the grains in a smaller volume and multiply that into the volume you want. Don't be lazy.. uncooked rice
It depends on the box. It could be anywhere from 0 grains if the box is empty to a billion grains if it's a huge box! Next time you find a box of rice, count how many grains there are! :D
About 21-23 cups of rice equal a 10 lb bag of rice depending on short or long grain.
If three and a half bags of rice weigh the same as one and three quarters bags plus one quarter kilogram how much does each bag weigh?
¼ kilo = 1¾ bags (2 x 1¾ = 3½), so 1 bag weighs 4/7 of a quarter kilo, ie 1/7 of a kilo.
About 57-57 cups of rice equal a 25 lb bag of rice depending on long or short grain.

Obviously it depends on the size of the bag. To convert pounds to kilograms, divide pounds by 2.2. (or multiply pounds by 0.455). For instance, a 5 pound bag would equal 2.27 kilograms; 10 pounds would equal 4.55 kilograms.
Extrapolating from the answer to how may grains in a pound of rice, 29,000, (elsewhere in Answers.com) we get something like 64,000 grains in a kilogram (@ 2.2 lbs / kg). This could vary based on the kind of rice.
there are many sizes of rice packages, and rice is sold in either pounds or volume, not by grains. this is why your question cannot have a straight answer.
Probably a lot! It really depends on how much rice a package contains. Different brands vary.
Rice isn't the best of things to measure by the mil (since mils are usually reserved for liquid measurements). Grain size varies a lot between rice types and within rice types (Arborio rice is much wider but shorter than long grain rice). An approximation would be around 50-60 grains in 10 ml, but y…ou would be better off finding a different unit of measurement - preferably a unit that measures weight, such as grams or ounces. Volume measures, such as teaspoons may also work for you. ( Full Answer )
All the grains in a bag of rice is only 5 digits long. To take it to the next level, I then calculated the volume of this rice to be about .02604 cubic feet. So 100 digits worth of rice (10^99 minimum) would require over 5.7 x 10^92 cubic feet or approximately 3.9 x 10^81 cubic miles. To make that f…it into your head a little nicer, that's 1.5 x 10^70 earth volumes. ( Full Answer )
For 2 kilos of long grain converted rice it is closer to 3 litres (the container size I use). Based on that fact, I would say 0.66 kilos is 2 litres.
No whole grain rice it a bit more grainish and normal rice just taste normal but normal rice has fats and other stuff that you should not eat artificial color not healthy
7385 because a grain of rice is so small and that's my calculations say. Thank You.
it varies, but usually about 3754 grains if you are talking about long grain rice.
About 19-20 cups of rice depending on the size of the rice (long or short grain.)
depends upon the size of the tub, it's impossible to answer thatone without knowing how big the container is.
