That depends on what you are measuring and it's density. Grams is a measure of weight, when as a cup measures volume, so they aren't comparable unless you know what material you're measuring.

You could either convert the grams to lbs, or then use an approximation.

One cup of butter is 226 grams, so you can probably use that and you wouldn't be off by much.
