Well, I don't know what stage you are up to, but once you have beaten all 8 gym leaders in johto you have to battle the Pokemon league. Once you have won that, you then travel to the kanto region where you battle another 8 gym leaders. Beware, these gym leaders are a lot harder than the johto gym leaders.
