The worms simple circulatory system is sufficent to its demands and has had no need to develop a more complex one.
A worm actually has seven hearts, i don't know why but it does. Example: If you chop up a worm into 7 pieces it will still be living because there is likely to be a heart in each section. DOes this help and it is all i know????

The hearts that worm's have are very different from the heart's that humans have. The worm equivalent of a heart is called the aortic arch and does not contain chambers or valves, and does not get oxygen-rich blood to the lungs. The aortic arches simply pump blood throughout the worm's body.
