The average working hours of a musician can vary widely depending on their role and commitments, but many musicians typically work around 20 to 40 hours per week. This includes time spent practicing, rehearsing, performing, and managing their careers. Freelance musicians may have irregular schedules, often working evenings and weekends, while those in steady bands or orchestras might have more consistent hours. Ultimately, the flexibility and variability of a musician's schedule can lead to significant differences in their actual working hours.

I think that it's really easy to become a musician, but it's another thing entirely to become a successful musician. Being a musician requires, hard work, determination, and a fair bit of talent and luck. To become good at your instrument, you have to practice and continue practicing to get better. To do well, AT LEAST an hour of practice should be expected and much more time a day should be expected to be spent promoting gigs, writing songs, doing demos, trying to find gigs. It's alot of work but it's not impossible.
