Cleopatra VII married her younger half brother, Ptolemy XIII. They had a strained relationship as Cleopatra VII tried poisoning him, Ptolemy XIII hearing tried to kill her..and so forth..he imprisoned Julius Ceasar and Cleopatra when he heard that they plotted to either kill or overthrow him. He drowned either fighting or fleeing from the Roman army. We have been hearing of cruel Cleopatra's side of the story, to be fair, we must understand, that her younger brother was being used by evil advisors as he was too young to rule, even though he was the true pharaoh, not Cleopatra, who knew this, and was also hogging the spotlight. Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIII never had any children. Cleopatra then married the next pharaoh, Ptolemy XIV. This younger brother seems more quiet and fair. Cleopatra seems to care a little bit about this brother, being concerned over her brother's moody emotions and nervousness when they were in Rome. Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIV may have had at least one child, some people believed Cleopatra's son, Ptolemy XV Ceasarion was instead Ptolemy XIV's son rather than Julius Ceasar's son. It is possible she lied about as she wanted a child so much by Julius Ceasar, however there is more evidence of Juilus Ceasar having a son by Cleopatra. Ptolemy XIV either died of an illness, poisoned by Cleopatra, or killed by Mark Antony on Cleopatra's behalf.

Juilus Ceasar was never Cleopatra's husband but rather lover. They had one son, Ptolemy XV Ceasarion.

After his stepfather/uncle/possible father's death, Ceasarion became pharaoh, and became Ptolemy XV. He was the sole ruler of Egypt when he fleed Egypt and was killed by Octavian at age 18-20. He never married nor was betrothed. He was titled "King of Kings," and another of his titles was called Semhemankhamun, meaning "Living Image of Amun." this name is very similar to Tutankhamun, which also means "Living Image of Amun."

Cleopatra as co regent for her 10 year old son, married Mark Antony in 37 BC, he was her third husband. They had three children who became kings and queen over foreign lands. They had twins, Alexander I Helios and Cleopatra VIII Selene II and one more son, Ptolemy XVI Philadelphis (maybe named after the four Ptolemies Cleopatra knew and Ptolemy II). Alexander I Helios was second in line for the throne of Egypt, was betrothed to a distant relative, Iotapa, princess of Media and the daughter of King Artavasdes I of Media Artropatene. Iotapa left Egypt and married Mithridates III after she heard that Egypt was defeated. Alexander mysteriously vanished however a bust of him was found in Rome and showed him as a younger man of 20-21. His younger brother Ptolemy XVI Philadelphis vanished mysteriously, but a bust of him was also found in Rome showed a man of 19-23, with wide, blue eyes, wavy hair, it is possible he joined the senate or won Octavian's favor as a roman emperor's crown was on his head. It is possible the two men died of illnesses or were murdered by Octavian just like Cleopatra's favourite son and their older half brother Ceasarion.

Cleopatra VIII Selene II married Juba II and always called herself , "I Cleopatra VIII Selene II daughter of Queen Cleopatra and King Mark Antony of Egypt, sister to King Ptolemy XV Ceasarion, Am Queen of Egypt", or "Cleopatra VIII Selene II, Queen of Egypt." she had two children Ptolemy (named possibly after her brothers and the house of Ptolemies she descended from) and Drusilla, a daughter who married Marcus Antonius Felix. She and Felix listened to the Apostle Paul on his trial for his belief in Jesus Christ (Acts 24:24).

Cleopatra known for her beauty and charm was painted as a cruel woman but a loving wife and mother.
