12 inches

That is a question that cannot be answered exactly. Different cruise ships of different sizes use different amounts of fuel. I can tell you that there are some cruise ships that use no fuel. There are several large cruise ships that are powered by sails.
About six pounds.
115502.6 cubic inches
My 08 GMC Sierra has Active Fuel Management, and it does work while using cruise control.
According to Disney, their cruise ships (Magic and Wonder) get about 57 feet per gallon. Therefore, to go six inches they burn 1/114 of a gallon, or 0.00877 gallon.Put into simpler units, with 256 tablespoons per gallon the Disney Magic burns just under 2.25 tablespoons of fuel to move six inches. The MS Oasis of the Seas, completed in 2010, has a total length of 361.8 meters, a height of 72 meters above the sea line, and room in its 16 passenger decks for 6,296 passengers. At its cruising speed of 22.6 knots (26 mph), the Oasis of the Seas burns 11361 gallons of fuel each hour. The fuel efficiency, then, is 0.0023 mpg, or 12.08 feet per gallon. This is the largest cruise ship in the world, along with its twin ship, The Allure of the Seas.
Yes 48you in
Depends on what you pay per gallon. Assuming $6 per gallon, aircraft burning 600 pounds per hour, ABOUT 7.1 lbs per gallon, cruise at 190 mph, fuel cost is ABOUT $2.81 per hour.
You wouldn't even be able to just start up the engine on that ... Cruise ships use fuel sometimes in the category of 100's of gallons per hour.
~ 500 gals
That depends on the shape and orientation of the tank.
How long does 4 inches of oil last in a 500 gallon oil tank? It will last forever unless someone removes it...! If you mean "How long will 4 Inches of oil last in the tank if you are using it to heat your house", that would be very difficult to answer as different furnaces will consume different amounts of oil, just like cars consume different amounts of fuel.. And, the colder it is outside, the more the furnace will run so It would consume the fuel faster.
