For a wedding with 300 guests, assuming each guest consumes around 2 drinks per hour, you would need approximately 600 drinks per hour. If a keg holds around 165 servings (12 oz.), you would need about 4 kegs per hour. Therefore, for a wedding of 300 guests, you might need around 20-30 kegs of beer, depending on the drinking preferences of your guests.
It depends on how much beer those 200 people are willing to drink. But my guess is 40. It's probably too late for you now, but 40 kegs would probably serve a small town. 1 keg contains ~15.5 gallons of beer. That's about 165 12oz cans of beer. Take a look at your guy to girl ratio. Guys will drink more than girls and you can maybe assume 1-2 beers per guy and 0-1 per girl each hour. This is also assuming your friends are all alcoholics... Let's just assume an even split of 100 guys and 100 girls at a 4 hour party. Worst case scenario is you go through about 300 beers/hour for 4 hours. That's 1200 beers for this wicked awesome party. 1200/165 = 7 kegs. I have never in my life seen a party go through that many kegs. That's an awful lot of beer that will cost a small fortune. I personally would not buy any more than 4-5 kegs. There are a lot of things you can't account for such as pre-gamers, beer haters, waiting lines and people that need to drive. 2 maybe 3 if this is a wedding reception think about the grooms buddies, are they a bunch of animals and still single, or are they a bunch of pompous a**holes that talk a big game but in actuality if their gf or wife sees the pink isod wearing douche bag anywhere near the keg she'll kick his a**.
There are 1984 ounces to a half barrel (standard keg) this means 165 twelve ounce glasses if none is spilled or the same as 7 and 1/2 cases. If all you are going to have is beer then I would get two kegs and 5 cases of back up beer. Don't spend a lot on the back up as most people at that point won't care. If you don't drink it then you still have it for latter where as a keg that uses a hand pump will only last for two days.See if you could possibly rent a C02 system with those kegs of beer and they wont go flat period if there not finished~
Cold rooms for storing beer or anything. Mostly by home brewers and those who keep whole kegs on hand. Or just anything else that you need to regulate to a colder temperature and want to save energy cooling.
Assuming each person drinks 2 beers, you would need 150 beers. Since a standard keg contains 165 12-ounce beers, you would need at least 1 keg. It may be a good idea to have an extra keg on hand to ensure there is enough for everyone.

Pony kegs are a popular choice for small events because of their manageable size and capacity. Holding 7.75 gallons (approximately 30 liters), they are half the size of standard half-barrel kegs and provide about 80 servings of 12-ounce beers. This makes them ideal for gatherings where a full-sized keg would be too much beer, reducing the risk of waste. Compared to other keg sizes, such as the half-barrel or mini kegs, pony kegs strike a balance between quantity and ease of use. They are easier to transport, store, and chill compared to their larger counterparts, making them the go-to choice for events like backyard barbecues, small parties, or personal use. INOXCVA specializes in supplying high-quality pony kegs and other keg sizes to fit your event needs.
