How many kilometers in 15 light years?
15 light years = 1.42x10^14km
650 light years equates to 6.14934346 × 10^15 kilometers.
The distance light will travel in 15 years. Or about 1.42 x 1014 kilometers.
The distance that light travels in a vacuum in one year, approximately 9.46 trillion kilometers or 5.88 trillion miles. Thus, the distance light can travel in 15 years is more than 88 trillion miles.
A light-year is the distance light travels in a year; about 9.5 x 1012 kilometers.
15 light years.
141.9 trillion kilometers
15 light years = 8,817,749,720,000,000,000,000 miles
15 Kilometers = 15,000 Meters
15 meters = 0.015 kilometers
15 kilometers = 9.32 miles
15 kilometers = 49,212.6 feet
15 centimeters = 0.00015 kilometers
15 light years = 8.81774972 × 1013 miles
15 kilometers are 9.32057 miles.
15 kilometers = 9.32 miles.
About 9.461 x 10^15 meters make up one light year.
15 kilometers = 15/1.609344 miles = 9.32 miles
Let 'K' be the speed expressed in kilometers per hour. (1K kilometers/hour) x (1 light-year / 9.46073 x 1012 kilometer) x (1 hour / 60 minute) = ( 1.76167 x 10-15 K ) light-years per minute (rounded)
24.14 kilometers in 15 miles, if that's what you mean.
Why do astronomers use light-years rather than kilometers or astronomical units to measure distance to stars and galaxies?
light years are a much more managable unit once you're talking distances of that scale. a light year is about 9.5X10^15 m. it's so much easier to use light years, especially when you're talking millions and billions of light years! but for calculations we don't use light years, it's just something that's easy to understand and compare.
Light years are a measure of time not distance (wrong). A light year is equal to 9.4605284 × 10^15 meters (divide that by 1000 to get how many km).
15 light years
Most likely 15 meters, as 15 kilometers is many miles high.
15 and a half kilometers
1 mile is exactly 1.609344 kilometers. Therefore to convert kilometers to miles, value in kilometers has to be divided by conversion factor which is 1.609344: 15 kilometers = 15 / 1.609344 = 9.321 miles
1000 meters = 1 kilometer 15 meters = 0.015 kilometers
Answer: 430 ly = 4.065e+15 km
theres about 9.3 miles in 15 kilometers. Every 1 mile equals about .62 kilometers. to get a rough idea you can do half of the kilometers to get miles. so you can say about just guess that 8 miles is about 15 kilometers.
Because you might have seen it in a telescope years ago idk Another Answer A light year is a measure of distance. If an object is 15 million light years away, the light you are looking at in this moment was produced 15 million years ago. If a star that far away went supernova at this moment, we wouldn't know it for another 15 million years. The light we see on the surface of our… Read More

Answer: 15 km = 9.32056 miles.
If one is assuming the Big Bang theory is in essence true, then one need only take the age of the Known Universe, and multiply by two. You see, the fastest that anything could have streaked out from the Big Bang is light speed, so if the Known Universe is 15 billion years old, then it would be 30 billion light years wide. The problem with that answer is that it ignores the expansion of… Read More

Answer: 15 km = 9.32056 mi.
Answer: 15 km = 9.32056 mi.
15 kilometers = 9.32056788 miles
There are 9.32056788 miles in 15 kilometers. 15 kilometers x 0.621371192 miles/1 kilometer = 9.32056788 miles 1 kilometer = 0.621371192 miles
Length 30 what? Inches? miles? light years? nanometres?
Light will travel 2.562211 x 10*15 km. in 6500 years.
The question cannot be answered because the units for 15 * 15 are not known. 15mm * 15 mm? 15 miles * 15 miles? or 15 light years * 15 light years. Even if they were, it would not be possible to give a sensible answer to the question. 15*15 is a measure of area, with dimensions [L2]. An inch is a measure of distance, with dimensions [L]. The two measure different things and basic… Read More

Callisto is one of the four Galilean moons of Jupiter. At its closest, Jupiter is about 15 light-MINUTES away from Earth, and about twice that at its furthest.
As of 2011, the closest exoplanet is about 15 light years from us, whereas the furthest is about 4,850 light years away.
There are 15,000 meter in 15 kilometers. 15 kilometers x 1000 meters/1 kilometer = 15,000 meters 1 kilometer = 1000 meters
There are 1,000 meters in a kilometer, so there are 15,000 meters in 15 kilometers. There are 1000 metres in one kilometre. Therefore, 15 kilometres is equal to 15 x 1000 = 15000 metres.
