Best Answer

There are several established routes; the top seven are: Northern Circuit: 86 km

Lemosho Route: 71 km

Rongai Route: 81 km

Machame Route: 62 km

Shira Route: 56 km

Marangu Route: 82 km

Umbwe Route: 53 km.

The routes vary considerably in the difficulty - both in terms of steepness of ascent and in the overnight accommodation available. They also differ in terms of their scenery, wildlife and number of hikers using it.
