Sadly enough, yes. Although it is extremely rare some kittens have conditions that are not able to be properly treated. Most people prefer to put the cat to sleep though so that the cat does not have to suffer. But keep in mind kittens can get almost all of the same health issues as full grown cats.

∙ 12y agoThey will if they do not get enough to eat, or if they get sick. Possibly. There is no real way to tell if your cat hasn't had them yet, just do your best to keep them a live if the mother cat needs your help. Usually she doesn't, but sometimes she'll kick a kit out because it is weak. You need to help that one try to live.
