I believe there are around 25-50 left.... they tend to dwell around Africa, and some near the Congo basin. they have survived the extinction of the dinosaurs, and have been around for approximated 150 million year. they can weigh 500-2,000 pounds, and in length (head to tail)4-9 feet long. they are the largest of all sea turtles. they dive very deep, around 4,000 feet. for more info search wikipedia :D
There are only 6,000,000 green turtles left in the wild so please don't kill them!
Less than 100 in the wild and six in conservation
I am not sure how many there are. But people have been saying there are about 6,000,000 left in the wild. Doesn't sound endangered to me!
if they are endangered it means there are only a few hundred left in the wild
there are many different types of sea turtles but but every year 100s 0r 1000s or even billions of turtles may go to shore to reproduce. so in all about a few 100,000,000 but there is no way to be exact. your welcome
yes there are some wild turtles and toe teases are veterans
there are known to be 2100 left in the wild
1000-2000 left in the wild
Only 4% of a turtles eggs survive the wild. the rest get taken by foxes or other predators!
snapping turtles are wild but can be tamed.....ppl have them as pets all the time
The main reason why they do that is because not many turtles survive in the wild. So the female turtle must lay a lot of eggs at a time to make sure that even though most of the turtles will not survive in the wild, some will survive.
