How many legendary Pokémon can you catch in Sapphire?

These are all the legendary Pokémon obtainable in Sapphire.

Regirock - After opening the way in the Sealed Chamber, go to the Desert Ruins in the south pole of the desert on Route 111, decipher the Braille, and follow the instructions to open the way to Regirock at Level 40.

Regice - After opening the way in the Sealed Chamber, go to the Island Cave on Route 105, decipher the Braille, and follow the instructions to open the way to Regice at Level 40.

Registeel - After opening the way in the Sealed Chamber, go to the Ancient Tomb on Route 120, decipher the Braille, and follow the instructions to open the way to Registeel at Level 40.

Kyogre - After obtaining seven badges and defeating Archie at the Seafloor Cavern, Kyogre will awaken and flee to the surface. It can then be found in the Cave of Origin in Sootopolis City at Level 45. This is the only legendary Pokémon in the game that you are required to face.

Rayquaza - After defeating the Elite Four, the Sky Pillar becomes accessible. Go to Route 131 and ascend the tower (you'll need the Mach Bike) to get to Rayquaza at Level 70.

Latias - After defeating the Elite Four, go downstairs; you'll see a television broadcast come on about a red-colored Pokémon flying around Hoenn. After watching this, you may encounter Latias. She can appear at any outdoor location where you find wild Pokémon, and will flee at the first attempt. It is recommended to use Max Repels in an area with low-level Pokémon (since Latias is found at Level 40). This is the best time to use the Master Ball.

Note: The following are event-only Pokémon; you'll need the Key Items given away at events to obtain them.

Latios - After defeating the Elite Four and receiving the Eon Ticket, you will be able to go to Southern Island. Go to the forest clearing and interact with the pedestal, and Latios will appear. He is at Level 50.

Lugia - After defeating the Elite Four and receiving the Mystic Ticket, you will be able to go to Navel Rock. When you come to the room with two staircases, take the one going down. After many flights of stairs, you'll reach an underground cavern, where Lugia waits at Level 70.

Ho-Oh - After defeating the Elite Four and receiving the Mystic Ticket, you will be able to go to Navel Rock. When you come to the room with two staircases, take the one going up. After a few flights of stairs, you'll reach the mountain's peak, where Ho-Oh waits at Level 70. Also, after defeating or catching Ho-Oh, examine where it stood to get a Sacred Ash.

Deoxys - After defeating the Elite Four and receiving the Aurora Ticket, you will be able to go to Birth Island. On this small, silent, triangular island, you'll see nothing noteworthy except for a black stone triangle in the center. Interact with it, and it will start to move. To solve the puzzle, touch the side that is closest to you and don't move more than necessary. Each time you touch it, its color moves from black closer to red. When the triangle moves to a position slightly above its original position, it should be completely red. Touch it again, and Deoxys will appear at Level 30. It will be in its Normal Forme if you catch it.

Footnote - All three of the Regi's are weak against Fighting-Type moves.

1. Kyogre, strong legendary. It is in the cave of Origin, after you show the blue orb to Steven. I advise to use dive balls as they have a triple catch rate on water pokemon. Make sure you save as it will most likely take a few tries. 2.Rayquazza In sky pillar after beaten the Pokemon League. North East from Pacifidlog Town. You would find a hole has opened up after the defeat of the Elite 4. Use Mach bike to skate thru cracks. Momentum is required with pinpoint accuracy. After climbing numerous stairs, you would meet a curled up Rayquazza. Confront it with A. I recomend saving before it as it is very hard to catch. Freeze it or put it to sleep as it is easier. 3. There are three Regi Pokemon: Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. They are weird looking legendaries which take a lot of effort to catch. To try to catch them, you must first get two Pokemon by the names of Relicanth and Wailord. Relicanth can be found by diving near Sootopolis City. You can either fish for a Wailord on Route 129 (very rare) or you can evolve it from a Wailmer, which can be found on Route 122 by fishing. Surf west from Pacifidlog Town, in the Ocean Currents. Before you do, make sure one of your Pokemon knows Dig. Find a spot to dive into the depths, and dive your way to some inscription on a Braille. Emerge back, and you'll find yourself in a cave filled with Brailles. Go to the middle slate of the Braille and use Dig, which should open it. Go into the next room, and put Relicanth as your first Pokemon, and Wailord as your last. Press "A" against the slate, and there'll be an earthquake. A message will appear saying that a door opened somewhere. The three Regi has been released. Now you're all set to catch them! Regirock Fly to Fallarbor Town, and go east into the desert where you found the fossils. You should find a large rock with an entrance. Go in there and go to the middle of the Braille slate. Move it to the right twice, and then down twice. A door will appear. Go inside to get to Regirock. Regice For Regice, go to Petalburg City, and surf west. Keep on Surfing until you reach a small island. Go west and keep surfing up. You'll then find yourself on an island with a small mountain. Go inside, stand in the middle of the Braille wall, and press "A". Wait for a while (about one minute), and a door will appear that leads to Regice. Registeel Registeel is the most powerful of the three. Before trying to catch it, make sure that you have a Mach Bike and a Pokemon with Fly. Go west of the Safari Zone until you reach a mound of earth. Using the Mach Bike, go up, and it will start to rain. You'll find a cave. Go in and Press "A" against the Braille slate. Go back to the middle of the cave, and use Fly. You will then be taken to the cave with Registeel. Latias. When beaten Elit 4, look at tv in house. It would mention Latias. I suggest when you finally encounter it,(might take ages) use your master ball.
