The saying is that a cat has nine lives.
This is not true. It is only a figure of speech. A cat has one life and one life only. We should all do our best to make that life as purrfect as possible!
DO NOT put this saying to the test. Ever.
a cat has 9 lives to live
Allegedly a cat has 9 lives.
9 (nine) lives
9
While wild felines such as Leopards and Lions abound. the word Cat and the domestic feline implied is nowhere to be found in the Holy Writ. The popular legend of the Christ Child and the stable cat is after all, a pious myth=allegdly explaining why Tabby Cats have (M) markings (for St.Mary) on their foreheads. some leopards and white tigers have these too. no connection.
A medicine cat has just one life, as other cats do. Only a leader has nine lives.
Nine.
A cat has 9 lives.
Only 1. The cat's idiom "9 lives" means it is a survivor
