A test in which the questions are written on paper, and the answers are written on paper.
newspaper
a test strip that tests the acidity or alkalinity level of a liquid.
It depends on what coats the paper, but my guess is that the coat would prevent the lipid from absorbing into the paper. For a lipid test to work, the lipid has to be absorbed to determine if the paper becomes translucent.
The paper allows you to weigh the chemicals on a scale. Folding the paper also makes it easier to pour the chemicals into the test tube.
