1 light second = 299,792,458 meters = 186,282 miles (in a vacuum).
Light has its highest speed in vacuum. If nothing curves it, bends it, or reflects it,

then it covers 299,792,458 meters (186,282 miles) every second.

A 'second' (all by itself) is not a measure of distance, but of time. A 'second' is 1/60th of a minute. A minute is 1/60th of an hour. An hour is 1/24th of a day. A day is the time taken for one revolution of the earth relative to the sun. A 'second of arc' is a measure of angle. 60 of these make a minute of arc, and 60 minutes of arc make one degree. 360 degrees constitute a complete circle. Latitude and longitude are measured in degrees, minutes and seconds. The length of a degree of longitude varies between ~60nm at the equator to zero at either pole. The length of a degree of latitude is 60nm everywhere, so one minute of latitude is one nautical mile (nm) by definition. A second of latitude is ~ 30 yards.

How many years from earth is the sun?

I believe you mean "how far is the earth from the sun"? The mean distance of the Sun from the Earth is approximately 149.6 million kilometers (93.5 million miles), though the distance varies as the Earth moves from perihelion in January to aphelion in July. At this average distance, light travels from the Sun to Earth in about 8 minutes and 19 seconds.

How old will you be when you get to the sun in light years?

If you could travel from Earth to the sun at the speed of light, you would be about 8 minutes and 20 seconds 'younger' when you arrived at the sun.

How far is Andromeda galaxy from the Sun?

About 2.5 million light years from Earth, but since the Earth and Sun are only 8 light minutes apart, there isn't that much of a difference in how far the Andromeda Galaxy is from the Sun or Earth. So the Andromeda Galaxy is about 2.5 million light years from the Sun and Earth.

How long does sunlight take to travel from the sun to earth?

The Earth is (on average) 93 million miles from the Sun, and light travels at 186,000 miles per second. It's a curious coincidence tha the math on this says that light travels from the Sun to the Earth in a nice, round, 500 seconds. This is equal to 8 minutes 20 seconds.

How much time does it get sun light to reach earth?

Light travels at 186,000 miles per hour, and the Earth orbits about 93,000,000 miles from the Sun. When you do the math, you find that the Sun's light takes about 500 seconds to reach the Earth. There are 60 seconds in one minute, so the Earth is about 8.3 light-minutes away from the Sun.
