Depending on type of fluid (synthetic, semi-synthetic) not more 60K miles.
Yes
Your owner's manual will tell you. I personally recommend every 5,000 mile with conventional oil and every 7,000 miles with synthetic. Any sooner is a waste of money and oil. Change the filter at every oil change.
Castrol Syntec. I recommend when switching to synthetics from conventional, that you run a synthetic blend for 6,000 miles (two oil changes) then change to full synthetics. If you have no experience with changing oils (especially changing from conventional to synthetics) I do not recommend you attempt this.
Yes you can. Contrary to a popular belief it does not hurt to switch between or mix synthetic and conventional oils.
60,000 miles
Change it every 100,000 miles.
Back in 2001 I went from regular oil to 100 % synthetic oil on my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT and am still using the 100 % synthetic oil as of February 13 , 2013 I had around 51,000 miles on the vehicle at the time I made the change , no oil leaks , no burning of oil etcetra . The first thing I noticed was the idle speed went up about 200 RPM until the computer made the adjustment required
3 quart of synthetic oil
Recommended is 106,000 miles. My 2001 presently has 114,000 miles.
Follow the manufacture recommendations as listed in the owner's manual. If you do not have one then change it every 7,000 miles if you drive normally.
The 2001 specifies Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30. Any brand of synthetic oil would be fine.
