225 miles taking this route:

  1. You will start off either on M1 to The NORTH or on M40 (W), depending on where you are coming from in London. So, if you take M1, you will take M1 to The NORTH to M6 to The NORTH WEST to BIRMINGHAM at J19, and then you will take M6 to M6 TOLL around BIRMINGHAM, back to M6 to The NORTH WEST; OR, if you start off on M40, you will take M40 to M42 (to M6 to The NORTH), and then you will take M42 to M6 TOLL, and take M6 TOLL around BIRMINGHAM.
  2. Continue on M6 to The NORTH WEST to M62 to SOUTHPORT (via M57) at J21A.
  3. Take M62 to M57 to SOUTHPORT at J6.
  4. Take M57 up to A565 to SOUTHPORT. FOLLOW SIGNS.
  5. Take A565 to Southport.
