There is evidence of a fortified prehistoric village in what is now Glasgow. But Glasgow did not begin to develop until about A.D. 550 with the arrival of St Kentigern (Mungo).

I found something that says it's on South Westfield Street. This document from 1976 also suggests, to me anyway, that it's not the same spot as the Memorial, which is also on South Westfield St. (at the intersection of North Westfield St., Springfield, Street, and Southwick Street.)
Yes, Xerox have an office in Panorama Business Village. This is just outside the city near Springboig.
Glasgow and prestwick airports both serve Glasgow but are in completely different locations. Glasgow Intl. Airport is in the village of Abbotsinch, near Paisley and Renfrew and Prestwick is in the town of Prestwick, Ayrshire. Glasgow Intl. is bigger and has more airlines (Continental, BA, Easyjet, Thomson etc) and Prestwick mainly accomodates for the low cost market (Ryanair and Wizzair). Prestwick has a direct rail link to Glasgow city centre but with Glasgow intl. you will have to take the bus to Paisley Gilmour Street station and trains run from there to Central. If your looking for a low cost, easy to get to place, go Prestwick, if your travelling mid/long haul, want to be nearer to the city and don't mind taking a taxi, the Glasgow Intl.
The name Glasgow was originally the Gaelic "Gleas chu", which means "dear green place". It wasn't always an industrial and commercial centre and many centuries ago it was but a village. It was green because of its wet climate. That's why the cotton industry started in the west, the damp climate kept the cotton from drying out!

Andy Goldsworthy created the Ice Star in 2005 at a site near the village of Tyninghame in East Lothian, Scotland. This ephemeral artwork was composed of ice and snow, showcasing Goldsworthy's signature approach of using natural materials to interact with the environment. The piece exemplifies his focus on the fleeting nature of art and the changing seasons.

"Treasure Island" was written by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson while he was staying in a cottage called "The House of Shaws" in the village of East Lothian, Scotland, in 1881. The story was originally serialized in a magazine before being published as a book in 1883. Stevenson's experiences and imagination, inspired by maps and tales of adventure, helped shape the novel's vivid narrative.
