There are eight steps on how to replace an AC condenser on a 1998 Cadillac Deville. Some of the step-by-step instructions are disconnect the battery by turning the terminal bolts counterclockwise, place the positive bolt away from the battery, and then disconnect the wiring harness.
It ultimately depends on what kind of a Cadillac you are looking for. If you want an Escalade I would say you should be able to get it for eight to ten thousand dollars. If you are looking for a DeVille I would say aboug six thousand.
If the ignition control module has the exact wiring, and is for the exact same number of coils, (3 coils for a six cylinder, and 4 for an eight), then it will work. I actually have a 4 coil pack unit that will work with an 8 cylinder for $100.00. It is used but works fine, and has 4 coils already attached. I bought it for my 98 Eldorado, and it turned out to be a bad fuel pump. buckeyefanted@aol.com if yer interested.
