I don't know I asked the question and need a answer
I had to pressed in by a garage . they did not last . I bought 2 from a junk yard no problems after 110k more miles i
should be able to listen to it and hear which side. front or back? front ones make noise like driving over a rumble strip on hwy. they will get worse and worse. they will only destroy themselves due to its a sealed bearing. they can last several thousand miles and make noise. fix asap.
Not knowing how bad the bearing is, I can't say how long it will last before the wheel falls off. Drive to your local garage for repair and don't take the highway.
I have a 2004 prius and at present it has 285000 miles on it with very little maintainence . 1 set of plugs, 1set of front and rear brakes, 1right front wheel bearing and 2 left front wheel bearings.
It could seize up next time you drive it. Don't take chances, replace faulty wheel bearings immediately.
No, it should last 200,000 miles. No, it should last 200,000 miles.
It depends on the vehicle. Most vehicles built in the last twenty years have sealed bearings.
It should last the life of the engine. Which should be over 300,000 miles. It should last the life of the engine. Which should be over 300,000 miles.
The wheel bearing can overheat and fall apart causing the wheel to come off of the vehicle. This can happen with little to no warning. Have this repaired it is very dangerous to operate a vehicle with a bad wheel bearing. The bearing will usually make noise first then proceed to a vibration. If left long enough the bearing will either sieze or break apart, with the wheel coming off (but that last is an extreme case).I the worst case the wheel can seize up. Go get it fixed as soon as you can, if it is making a lot of noise and you have had it for a while you might even want to have the car brought in on a flatbed truck to the repair shop
You should not have any problem at least five years. Unless you like to drive on really bumpy roads in high speed. Or load your car with heavy weight.
The wheel bearings are sealed and should last a long time. If you think they are bad you would have to replace the bearings they cannot be repacked.
You cannot predict when an alternator will go bad. It may last 150,000 miles and it may only last 50,000 miles. It may go bad due to a bad bearing or internal short.
