My dog has Allergies and the vet told me to give her a childrens dose but I would imagine it would depend upon the weight of the dog.
It depends on the weight of your dog and the strength of the liquid Benadryl. You should ask your veterinarian for a precise dose.
an 8 lb. dog needs 16 mg of Benadryl, so you can give it one teaspoon ofchildren's benadryl which has 12.5 mg. make sure it is regular benadryl and doesn't contain acetaminophen (to check, look at the active ingredients in the box or bottle).
Yes
can diabetic take benadryl
Yes
no
The better question is, how do you know that your dog is having an Anaphylactic reaction?
1ml of benadryl can have a dog for each pound.
No, this would be a very high dose. Call your veterinarian and ask how much Benadryl to give your dog.
no that wont do nothin to the animal
That depends on how many milligrams of diphenhydramine are in each teaspoonful of the liquid, why you're giving the Benadryl, and whether or not your dog is receiving any other medications. Contact your Vet. He/she will know the correct dose for your pet.
one milligram per pound.
That depends largely on the dog, but many dogs can have small doses of benadryl. Check with your veterinarian.
