The Bronx and Manhattan are right next to each other. The Bronx is directly north of Manhattan. The two boroughs are separated by a skinny stretch of river known as the Harlem River. The Harlem River branches off of the Hudson River, flows down over the top of Manhattan (which is the bottom of the Bronx) and into the East River. The Harlem River is about 500 feet wide, so, the distance between Manhattan and the Bronx is 500 feet. See the Related Link below for a New York City subway map, which shows you all the five boroughs, as well as the Hudson, Harlem, and East Rivers. Note that while the top of Staten Island is visible on the map (at the bottom left corner) the entire island is not shown, since the subway doesn't go there.
New York City has five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island.
There are many ways depending on what part of Manhattan you want to go. You can take the Bruckner Expy. in the Bronx to either the 3rd or Willis Ave. Bridge. You can also take the Cross Bronx Expy. to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge or to the West Side Highway. There are other various smaller bridges that lead from the Bronx to Manhattan, 145th St. Bridge, the 207th St. Bridge, also known as University Heights Bridge and the W.225th St. overpass off of W. Kingsbridge Rd. most off of the Major Deegan Expy.
I'm sorry, did you mean Manhattan, Kansas, and then COLORADO SPRINGS?
