How many miles is it from the Bronx to Manhattan?

The Bronx and Manhattan are right next to each other. The Bronx is directly north of Manhattan. The two boroughs are separated by a skinny stretch of river known as the Harlem River. The Harlem River branches off of the Hudson River, flows down over the top of Manhattan (which is the bottom of the Bronx) and into the East River.

The Harlem River is about 500 feet wide, so, the distance between Manhattan and the Bronx is 500 feet.
