How many minutes for alcohol to hit the brain?

Depends how heavy an alcoholic they are and what their everyday life consists of. But in most cases not long as they will develop stomach ulsers and liver failure. However I do know an 80 year old man who drinks atleast a pint of whiskey and who knows how many beers a day and he's still kickin. I wish I knew what his secret was.

I assume you mean alcohol abuse because a moderate sensible use of alcoholic drinks may be beneficial, though that is arguable.

It would again depend on the person, but I'd say, and this I must add is highly unscientific, that say the onset of kidney disease and/or Alzheimers can seriously damage your longevity and the quality of your life too leading to on average the loss of 5 years to 10 years. You will need a calculator to make that into minutes!

Food needs time to be digested before the nutrients can be absorbed into the body. Unlike food however, alcohol does not need to digested and can be rapidly absorbed. It can take as little as one minute for alcohol to reach the brain.
