There are 13 story missions, which give you about every single type of mission in the game, passengers, minefields, all the fun stuff! But after a twist in the game (See Question "What happened in Mission 12 of Galaxy on Fire?") your character, Keith Maxwell, decides to leave the Terran army. Depending on what side you are loyal to will decide your game story. After completing the 13 missions, you unlock the map and missions, which make you a free man. From there, you're on your own.
