As of today March 10, 2008 Naruto Shippuuden is up to episode 49. As of today, June 23, 2008, Naruto Shippuuden currently has 63 episodes. Today is Monday August 25, 2008. There are currently 72 shippuden episodes. A new episode is coming out on Thursday August 28, 2008. A new shippuuden sub episode comes out every Thursday. A new naruto dub comes out every Sunday. If you want to watch the new shippuuden sub episode on Thursday online, you won't be able to watch it until Friday online on youtube.com.

My guess would be a little after the regular series is over.....There are like 220 episodes until Shippuden starts and on TV they're on about 200 or so (as of July 11th). Maybe it will start after they dub all the movies too.

I haven't relly been keeping track. So far they have reached shippuden 81 on www.tailedfox.com shippuden (on that site) is released every Thursday and yes there are 220 naruto episodes.
