There is a tribute band called Still Collins, singing songs from Genesis and Phil Collins. They sell songs over itunes. Many people confuses them with the original Phil Colins.
Phil Collins had 8 solo #1s. But this is only part of the story.Phil Collins solo had four #2s, just missing.Phil Collins was, for many years, the leader of band Genesis. With Genesis, Phil Collins had another six #2's. Genesis never made it to #1. But Genesis did have 8 rock #1's.
2 Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins
This song has been remade many many times by Phil Collins, Toni Gazonga, the Dixie Chicks and others, but it was originally written by Lamont Dozier, Brian Holland and Eddie Holland with lyrics by Diana Ross.
The song, "Easy Lover" was first performed by musician Phil Collins in 1984/1985. It was number 1 across many charts globally and used as a theme song for television shows.
Phil Collins did NOT make Tarzan, only wrote songs for the Disney movie. Edgar Rice Burroughs made Tarzan, and like many authors, he probably liked his idea and decided to make it into a novel.
Phil Collins has announced his retirement multiple times throughout his career. He first stepped back from performing in 1994 but returned for a reunion with Genesis in 1997. He announced his retirement again in 2002, only to return for tours in the following years. Most recently, he indicated retirement in 2011 due to health issues, but he has made occasional appearances since then.
There are seven nights in a week.
Van Morrisson does not appear to have recorded any duets with Phil Collins, but Morrisson has performed duets with many others, such as John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, and Shane MacGowan etc. Although Van Morrisson and Phil Collins both became members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the same time, i.e. in 2003, and they have each performed many duets, none, it would seem, have been with each other. INTERESTING COINCIDENCE In 1970 Van Morrisson wrote 'Domino', a tribute to singer Fats Domino. (It had the refrain 'Oh oh Domino') In 1986, Phil Collins' group Genesis also wrote a song called 'Domino' (The Last Domino)' for their album 'Invisible Touch', but this song has the refrain 'You've got to go Domino' and is quite a different song to Van Morrisson's 'Domino.'
