For a 99 cavalier 2.2 there are 2 mounts. The upper mount near antifreeze recovery bottle and one (dog bone) mount directly under the other, in front of oil pan. 1- transmission mount.
Which ever one has failed.
put newone on
The 1997 and 1999 Chevy Cavalier transmissions are exactly the same. The transmissions, transmission linkage, and transmission mounts are identical.
My 1997 Chevy Cavalier with 2.2L motor used a 15mm socket.
To change motor mounts on your acura you need the following tools. A philips head screwdriver and 7 mm socket on wretched. Using your phillips head screwdriver undo the srews and put the new mounts on their places.
What kind of car/truck? I am changing the motor in a 99 cavalier. I have the door panel off and now I am trying to remove the motor.
The motor mounts are broken or worn out or you have a broken wavy plate in the transmission.
99 Mercury Cougar has 4 mounts, one on passenger side connects to front of motor, one on driver side connects to back of transmission, one front of car bolts to motor and one connects from transmission to a brace at the bottom of the firewall.
Nope. They may be the same displacement but not the same motor
don't think motor mounts will work - look for 92-99 3800
Not without serious mods. For example coumputer, motor mounts, and wiring harness.
no the bellhousing on 99 is made like a ford starter mounts to bellhousing and not to motor and it has a full bellhousing instead of open on bottom
