The basic mouth parts are of the proboscis, it's a tube made of 2 halves split down the middle. moths and butterflies both use it to drink nectar. Some moths though don't have any mouth at all. they live on fat stored up from when they were a caterpillar. Those only live long enough to breed and lay eggs, maybe a week or 4 days.
