Out of the movies in which he did have cameos, he technically did not appear in Lifeboat, Rope, Dial M for Murder and Family Plot. In Lifeboat, his cameo appearance was in a newspaper advertisement. In Rope, a neon sign of Hitchcock appeared outside the window. In Dial M for Murder, he appeared in a photograph. And in Family Plot, he appeared as a silhouette standing on the other side of a glass door.
