I've run a 1994 'N' and now use a 1996 'P' Mk111 Astra. Over ten years of driving, I get between 41mpg (winter) and 52mpg (summer). This is mostly commuting - 55 miles each way

They get about 13-14 mpg in the city not sure on the freeway, but I would guess about 19-21 on the freeway...
According to fueleconomy.gov: A 2WD Toyota 4Runner can get 16 MPG City and 19 MPG Highway. A 4WD Toyota 4Runner can get 14 MPG City and 17 MPG Highway.
I get roughly 14-16 MPG.
