Per EPA revised MPG numbers:

1999 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl, 2.7 L, Automatic 4-spd, Regular

18 city 28 highway

1999 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl, 3.2 L, Automatic 4-spd, Regular

16city 25 highway

I Have the 3.2 and when driving conservatively I get 19 city 22.4 combined and 35 Hwy.

Depends on how long and hard you press on the gas.

Depends on model, engine, transmission and driving style

MPG can be 22 in the city and 34 on the highway with a manual transmission. With an automatic the MPG would be 19 in the city and 30 on the highway. If you plan on buying a Dodge Nitro, be sure to get a manual transmission. MPG is much better, you have more control, and it's a lot more fun to drive.
