This is actually a very, very easy question to answer. Now, all atoms of the same element have the same number of protons. Otherwise, they wouldn't be the same element. For instance, if lead had one more proton, it would be bismuth, a non-toxic shiny metalloid. If it had one less, it would be thallium: a deadly poison which was only recently found. Lead has 82 protons.

When the number is given by an element name (e.g. lead-204), it is also showing the atom's nucleus' mass number. Natural lead contains lead-204, lead-206, lead-207, and lead-208. Each of these contains the same number of protons, but different numbers of neutrons, hence the mass difference. To find the number of neutrons, N, we subtract the number of protons, Z, from the mass number, A.

So, 204 - 82 = 122.

Lead-204 contains 122 neutrons.

Just subtract 206 minus the number of protons, which is the same as the atomic number - 82 in the case of lead.

What is lead is made from?

Lead is an atom consisting of 82 protons and 82 electrons. The number of neutrons depends on the isotope of lead. Pb-207 isotope has 125 neutrons (207 - 82 = 125)

What is the mass number lead?

How many electrons protons and neutrons are in lead?

Lead, atom number 82, has 4 natural occurring isotopes Pb-204, 206, 207 and 208.They all have 82 protons and 82 electrons.The neutron number varies from 122, 124, 125 and 126 respectively.(Remember: atom number = p+ = e- and mass number = p+ + n0 )Pb-207 has 82 protons, 82 electrons and 125 neutrons

How many protons electrons and neutrons are in a lead?

If you look on the periodic table, you will find that the atomic number for lead is 82. This means that there will always be 82 protons. Next, assuming that there are not ions, the number of elections is also 82. Finally, you can see that the mass number of Pb is 207. 207-82=125 so there are 125 neutrons if you are referring to the most common isotope.

What has 86 electrons125 neutrons and 82 protons?

The element with 86 electrons, 125 neutrons, and 82 protons is the element Lead (Pb). The number of protons (atomic number) determines the element, and in this case, it is 82 for lead. The sum of protons and neutrons gives the atomic mass, which is 207 in this case, making it the isotope with mass number 207.

What is a atomic mass of lead?

Lead is a metal element. Atomic mass of it is 207.
