Bristle boards are specifically designed for steel tip darts, which have sharp points that can penetrate the sisal fibers of the board. Soft tip darts, on the other hand, are meant for electronic boards that feature holes to accommodate the plastic tips. Using soft tip darts on a bristle board can damage the board and lead to poor gameplay.
