In the third energy level (n=3), there are three sublevels: 3s, 3p, and 3d. The 3s sublevel has 1 orbital, the 3p sublevel has 3 orbitals, and the 3d sublevel has 5 orbitals. Therefore, the total number of orbitals within the 3s, 3p, and 3d sublevels is 1 + 3 + 5 = 9 orbitals.

Correct. Filled energy sublevels have electrons occupying all available orbitals within the sublevel, while partially filled sublevels have some orbitals unfilled. This is a result of the rules governing electron configuration in atoms.
In the third energy level, the 3s and 3p sublevels contain a total of 4 orbitals. The 3s sublevel has 1 orbital, while the 3p sublevel has 3 orbitals. The 3d sublevel, which is also part of the third energy level, contains 5 orbitals. Therefore, the total number of orbitals in the 3s, 3p, and 3d sublevels combined is 1 + 3 + 5 = 9 orbitals.
There are one 3s orbital, three 3p orbitals, and five 3d sublevels.
There are one 3s orbital, three 3p orbitals, and five 3d sublevels.

There are 2, 6 and 10 electrons in the 3s (1 suborbital), 3p (with 3 suborbitals: 3px, 3py, 3pz) and 5 sub orbitals in the 3d orbital: this makes a total of 18 electrons in 9 suborbitals
's' orbitals are spherical. 'p' orbitals are peanut shaped. 'd' orbitals are like two 'p' orbitals crossing each other. and 'f' orbitals...well there are a ton of shapes that they can be...my chem teacher just describes them as weird
Principal energy levels are an atom's major energy levels, ranging in value from 1 to 7. Energy sublevels are contained within principal energy levels, and their number increases as the value of the principal energy level increases.
In electron orbitals there are a few different types of orbitals or levels. Refering to the periodic table of elements, the s orbitals are spherical and are seen in the first to columns. The p orbitals are in the last four columns.
You would have to determine the electron configuration for atoms of a given element. Each s sublevel contains 1 orbital, each p sublevel contains 3 orbitals, each d sublevel contain 5 orbitals, and each f sublevel contains 7 orbitals.
