Northwest ordinance of 1787
In 1810, the United States had a total of 17 states and several territories. The key territories included the Northwest Territory, the Indiana Territory, the Mississippi Territory, and the Louisiana Territory, which had been acquired from France in 1803. The exact number of territories can vary depending on the definition, but generally, there were around four significant organized territories at that time.
The Romans themselves did not generate an organized religion, with perhaps the very loose exception of offering sacrifices for the good of the state and emperor. They were polytheists, which means that they believed in many gods. However, they didhave organized religions which were imported from their territories. The worship of Isis, Cybele and Mithra were three of them.
The US has many possessions in the Pacific, one well known one is Hawaii, a US state added in 1959, but there are other Pacific territories. In the United States, land that has not been organized into states is called a territory. Today, there are no US territories in the continental US.
Canadian territory is separated into provinces that is broken down into smaller territories. They still hold strong British influences as many of their provinces were british owned.
