All i know is that theres four spanish explorers with him Nicholas Ovando , Diego Velasquez , Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo , Hernan Cortez da im a seventh grader and even i know that
Hernan Cortes arrived in Tenochtitlan in 1519, and invaded Tenochtitlan with several other Indian groups in 1521.
he had some supplies like guns and food on his ship
Hernando Cortez is one way. Here is the other way Hernán Cortés.
Hernando Cortes coquered the Aztecs with the help of other tribes who hated the Aztecs because the Aztecs raided them.
Hernando de soto was traveling to Florida , Missisppi, Carolina and other places
Spain and the spanish king.
One was called Candlemaker. In any event, when the expedition of Hernan Cortes reached Yucatan, he scuttled 10 of the ships and sent the other back to Cuba with some of the treasure he had collected.
The Aztec empire was defeated by Hernando Cortez. He had a larger army and he allied with other groups.
One reason for Don Hernando Cortes to be able conquer the Aztec empire was because of his military power. His army possessed superior weapons and armors. They also trained horses and dogs to their advantage. The Aztecs also confused Cortes as one of their gods and thus trusted him. In addition, Spaniards spread smallpox and other European diseases which killed and lessen the number of the Aztec people.
Hernando Cortez was like all other explorers who were all sent to find new lands by their monarchs. He was inspired by his quest to spread Christianity, to find rare jewels and gold and for praise and glory.
Hernando Cortes is ruthless in many ways. He is ruthless because he had no mercy on the Aztecs and his soldiers. For example when he first arrived the Aztecs treated him well because there leader Montezuma thought that the Europeans were gods. They gave him gifts such as gold. This only made Cortes more eager to find the source of the gold. This showed that he was ruthless because they thought the gold would make him happy and leave but he decided to come anyway and he showed little mercy on them. He was also ruthless to his soldiers because he ordered the ships to be sunk so his soldiers cannot turn back after Cortes decided to march inland. Cortes was then treated as a guest but he was driven out by Aztec nobles and half of his army was killed or wounded. From this Cortes decided to begin a siege of Tenochtitlan. He was ruthless to the Aztecs because he showed no mercy on them since he kept sending soldiers until most of there warriors were killed or captured. Also once Montezuma had died there was a new ruler who was the nephew of Montezuma, The new ruler named Cuauhtémoc defended the city, however Hernando Cortes still continued his ruthless ways. For instance after 3 months the city fell to Cortes. He then had Cuauhtémoc executed which is another reason why Cortes is ruthless. He could have justified his actions to conquer the Aztecs after they drove him out by killing half of his men or wounding them. Clearly Hernando Cortes was ruthless in many ways.
Other people in the region made alliances with Cortes because they saw an opportunity to overthrow their oppressive rulers and saw the Spanish as potential allies in their fight for power. Additionally, the Spanish had advanced technology, such as horses and guns, which gave them a military advantage that made them attractive allies.
